The Bedrock Family
We’re here for you.
“It’s what you do in the present that will redeem the past and thereby change the future.”
The Bedrock Family has been there. We have faced the darkness of infant death, debt, divorce, addiction, unemployment, and chronic illness. Now, we are here to stand with you, right where you are. From our shared experiences—highs and lows—to the pooling of our talents to build the organization, the Bedrock family has built a place of compassion, safety and tangible support for people in hard places who are ready to build resilience and move into freedom.

Maureen • Founder & CEO
“Struggle is more common than rare. Life is complex, so we give people a safe place to sort it out with dignity, confidentiality and compassion,” says Maureen.
Maureen has a honed ability to stare down the dark side and see the other side—and then get there. Maureen is a visionary who leads from her heart—a heart that’s been broken open so many times it’s now a luminary. This light guides others in hard places back to their own light.
Maureen studied and worked in psychology, social services and traumatic brain injury recovery. Later, during her master’s program in non-profit administration, she used her fellowship in social entrepreneurship to study financial inclusion and scalable models to make a big social impact with it.
She has a clear vision, and the intelligence and experience to make it happen. She’ll tell you about the resources available, the science behind them, and how to use them, but the essence of her success is empathy. A hard-won, nearly endless well of it. She feels you, cares deeply, and holds compassionate space for you to move from crisis to calm. This space is where the power of transformation lives. She’s here to give you the key.
Michael
“I know what it’s like to be four months late on rent, spend your money on booze and gambling and have to ask mom and dad for money despite having a job and making good money,” says Michael. “We provide a safe place to learn life skills and explore financial choices, where it’s okay to be vulnerable and make mistakes, with consistent support and possibilities for making new choices.”
There is no substitute for experience. Which is why Michael is one of Bedrock’s most important resources. Having walked his own addiction and recovery walk, he actively works with clients largely by listening. No stranger to shame, loathing and self-destruction, Michael knows where you’ve been, meets you where you are, and can help guide you where you want to be—with no judgments.
“Bedrock meets you where you are at and with your goals in mind. It truly is a partnership.”
